I'm new to business objects so I'm likely missing some fairly simple concepts so I'll apologize ahead of time.
Anyway I am trying to pull data from one universe (and complete report) into an existing report I have. There are a few issues though.
FIrst, there is no single dimention to connect these on. There are however two dimentions that when combined would work. Second, one of the relationships are formatted differently. In on universe there are leading 0's trailing spaces and it is a string. The other universe simply has this stored as a number with no leading 0's or trailing spaces.
I believe (never tried it) that one could do a join in SQL here by using some case statements, I'm certain it can be done almost effortlessly with excel. I'd have HOPED I could link the two reports through a calculated field in each, where I'd jst concatenate the two after triming and changing the type. It does not appear I can do that. Is there a work around?
